We are a Country of Short-Term People with Short-Term Dreams; Filled with Short-Term Objectives and Short-Term Expectations. In Nigeria, Process is Sacrificed in the Altar of Now! Now!! Planning is Sacrificed for Miracles, and Structures are Ignored for Favours. In the Name of Now! Now!! #GovWike has Borrowed and Spent N45billion on Nothing but Short-Term Abracadabras. In the Name of Short-Term, PDP hypnotised all of us into the $500billion Rebasing of the Nigerian Economy; In the Name of Short-Term Nigeria Spent over $10Billion on Spiritual Locomotive Railways. In The Name of Short-Term Benefits, Nigeria as a country has Failed, Again and Again and Again. If you think PMB is being too slow, sorry you have the Nigerian Short-Term Syndrome. You have no Idea how and what it takes to develop and build sustainable projects in a system that is as bastardized as what PDP left PMB. You simply are not aware of the decay in Nigerian governance over the past decades. You are simply refusing to see the truest nature of your country. You are not sure of what you want. Apologies here and genuinely so, but I am vexed when educated people think with emotions and act without knowledge. 50% of all the infrastructure supposedly put in place by GEJ and the PDP in 6 years are rubbish today in just 5 months, A $500billion economy is struggling in the face of a few months of pressure, The Railways have vanished, Bridges are collapsing, Federal Roads not motor-able. particularly in the South East; The Agricultural Revolution concept of GEJ was more a Mirage than Reality. We were Scammed by GEJ; we are actually seeking to be Scammed by PMB. What a People, What a Nation.
At the risk of saying too much, I am forced to ask what do Nigerians really want? Short Term gains or a sustainable process driven change? It is painful to note that the Miracle Mentality is a big problem in our growth and developmental drive. You can imagine that Nigerians are comfortable castigating the Federal Government under PMB for limiting imports to help in localized industrialization. We as a people are not interested in Short-Term Pains for Long-Term Gains. We are all guilty of seeking a developed Nigeria today without going through the pains of developing a system that can work for all.....The Failures of the Nigerian Judiciary, The Nigerian Economy, The Nigerian Governments of the Past, The Nigerian State in General is a reflection of the Miracle Mentality of our people. We Pray when we should work; We beg to avoid the Law being utilized; We seek sympathy in the face of guilt; We cry to emotionally blackmail one another; We are Religious without being Compassionate; We want the best of life but lack the willingness to support the best process of governance...We the people are slaves to our own short term desires and that is Anti-Growth and Anti-Development.
If PMB's Slow, Steady, Structured and Sustainable Governance is uncomfortable with you; It is because you are simply not interested in Solid and Viable Foundation for development. You want Miracles and that has been our biggest problem as a Nation. You are a Miracle Seeker and Nigeria has been made worst by Millions of Miracle Workers with no sense of Real Development. I advise that you go to Church or Mosque and you might be luck to access the Miracles you seek.....With PMB, It will be Slowly, Steadily, Structurally and Sustainably
